CLEARVIEW CHRISTIAN CAMP: -- we know this past week with it’s minus 35 to 40 temperatures likely didn’t have you thinking about Camp—but, we know that the start of another year of activities at Clearview will be here before we know it! Moose Jaw will once again be looking after the Grades 2 to 5 week which is July 8 to 13. This is an amazing week—so much good, sound teaching and so much great fun and fellowship, and yes, SOOO much work! Until you’ve been involved in a week at Camp you have no idea what a great experience this is. This is such a wonderful age group of kids—their minds are like sponges and it’s a real pick-me-up being around them. We have some volunteers already but can always use more. Think about it over the next while and see if you can work it into your summer schedule. You’ll be glad you did!! Our craft girls (Donna & Bonnie) have the following list of things that are needed for the craft projects this year. Anything we can get this way means that there won’t have to be as much purchased and taken out of the Camp budget. Thanks for anything you can donate.
pillowcases (don’t need to be new, but need to be in good shape);
tea towels (don’t need to be new, but need to be in good shape);
ribbon (any width, color etc.);
glass jars (any size—they will go through them and see what they can use);
buttons (all shapes, sizes and colors);
two liter milk cartons (rinsed and clean).

CRAIG, LEAH & LENA REID: -- when Craig was with us on Dec. 11th, he shared some information regarding their planned trip to Ecuador. Following is more information:
“From January 8 to March 5, 2012, I will be interning in Ecuador under my brother-in-law Travis Sass for academic credit. The tuition costs of the courses will be paid by our family as it is my education. Leah and Lena are joining me. While I am fulfilling the requirements of my program, Leah will be ministering alongside of me as an English conversation partner and will also be an eager participant in Travis & Alicia’s work as opportunities are presented. We are trying to do our best to do this two month mission trip as economically as possible. Your prayerful consideration of how you might help is greatly appreciated. As we do not have a sending congregation due to how quickly this opportunity arose, we are unable to offer tax receipts. If you can help us out with a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheques should be made payable to Craig and Leah Reid and marked “For Ecuador” and can be mailed to our home address in Regina: #2-2477 Francis St., Regina, Sask. S4N 2R1. We do not have a deadline for support. As such, we will be humbly accepting donations over the course of the next while. Depending on my access to a computer, I will blog my experience on craiginecuador.blogspot.com ”
Even though the Reid’s are already in Ecuador, any donations toward expenses incurred would be greatly appreciated.
CELL PHONE vs. THE BIBLE … WHAT IF?
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones.
What if we carried it around in our purse or pocket?
What if we turned back to get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?
What if we gave it to our kids as a gift?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
What if stores had to put up signs saying, “No Bible reading while at the cash register?”
What if the authorities had to pass legislations saying, “You must listen to the Bible on CD because too many people are having accidents while reading their Bible while driving.”
And what if establishments had rules that you had to close your Bible like they do “all cell phones must be turned off”?
